Lexa has grown

I have been meaning to update this blog as much as I can but unfortunately my lazy self is too lazy to do so, am I making any sense???

Anyway, I will try really, I will, I should and I can.... What's keeping me busy is our little munchkin who never fails to make us smile everyday.

She is really growing up too fast. See how she's grown.
Newborn Lexa

3 months santa baby

She turned 4 months last January 25 and she is a really smiling baby. Her smile in the morning is what keeps us energized through out the day.
She can also now roll over.
She loves sitting in her bumbo seat.
This photo was just taken this morning and she loves to be in a sit down position rather than lying down.
Her siblings adore her especially Lara and she always says that Lexa is so irresistable.

Children are such a blessing and looking at her I just can't believe that she came from me. She is indeed a miracle of life.

Welcome to our new family member, Lexa Skye

I already gave birth last 25th of September 2016. She came a week earlier than scheduled elective CS supposed to be today, 2nd October 2016. She is definitely most welcome and we have been waiting for her for some time.

Sharing her photos:

Ate is very happy
She is definitely loved and I am very overwhelmed with all the warm wishes and gifts especially from my colleagues in Al Noor - Mediclinic

I am on my way to recovery and I feel better each day. Just looking at Lexa is truly a miracle of life.

Welcome Lara Nichole

I gave birth to the newest addition to our family, Lara Nichole Landicho last 07 May 2009 at 10:18 am via Cesarian section. I was only supposed to go to the hospital for blood tests and go to work after but early in the morning I was having on and off menstrual like cramps so I opted to go to Labor and Delivery first to check before having my blood test. When they put me on CTG I was already having contractions this was around 8 am and was told that I will be sent to Operating Room in a few minutes. Good thing my husband accompanied me to be sure and we brought all the things for the hospital already just in case. I was sent into OR to have the anaesthesia and placed on the Operating table. My husband was with me inside the OR and talking to me while the operation was ongoing. It all happened so fast. I was scheduled already on the 14th but I guess she wants to come out early and we are so happy to have her.

Baby Lara Nichole

I'm now on my 35th week of pregnancy. I just had my check up this afternoon and is scheduled for Ceasarian section on my 39th week on May 14. I will be confined to the hospital at May 13 and the following day is my schedule in OR. Everytime I go for ultrasound, I always verify the gender just to be sure as I still can't believe that God answered my prayers for a baby girl. My son keeps on praying every night "Papa Jesus, I like baby sister please". Time surely flies by, before I only wished for a baby girl but now in just a few weeks, I'll be holding her in my arms. I'm so excited to see our little angel. I had a glimpse of her today through my ultrasound but she was sound asleep. We finalize the name and decided on Lara Nichole. Lara means cheerful and Nichole means Victorious. We opted to add an "h" to the name Nicole as Nicholas is also spelled with an "h". We are all so excited for our little princess and I don't mind the sleepless nights ahead. I'm hoping though that I get to give birth as scheduled, I had Nichos at 38 weeks and we'll never know if I may give birth anytime soon.

New buy for Nicole

It's so hard to buy clothes while pregnant as I'm always thinking if I can still wear it even if I'm no longer preggy. I feel so bloated lately and my tummy gets heavier each day. Had my check up today and the baby is fine. I have told the doctor to schedule me for CS on May 8 as per hubby's request as it is his mom's bday. I still have to confirm with the consultant on my next check up.

There have been lots of sale in the mall lately but because I'm having a hard time trying out clothes I just opt to buy for Nichos and Nicole instead. I recently bought a onesie and capri for Nicole and a shirt for Nichos at Gap lately and today when we went there it was still on sale so I bought a cutie mini skirt for Nicole. It costs 115 Dirhams but I only got it for 39 Dirhams, so it was such a steal that I couldn't let it pass. Nichos ask for a Gap cap for himself which hubby said was more expensive than the caps that he has.

I am now 26 weeks preggy so a few more weeks to go. I'm getting excited each day.

Update on my collection and more...

My new collection of stuff toys is growing bigger. They already have names but I got 4 more today which I have yet to give names. It's the thrill of catching them that is so much fun.

I also bought new clothes for baby Nicole while they are on sale at Gap. I just can't resist.

Guess the baby's gender...

I just had my Fetal Anomaly Scan today which also happens to be our 5th year wedding anniversary. I was kind of nervous and I prayed hard that the baby is okay and that he/she is healthy and normal. I was also very excited as I really wanted to know the baby's gender. Thank God, everything was okay with the baby, all is normal. The baby was thoroughly examined and made sure everything was normal from head to foot including the brain, heart, kidneys, spine and of course I asked the gender and the ultrasonographer told me it's going to be a girl and she took a photo of the genitals which i posted above. I am so happy and so is Nichos and Ramon. A girl is really what I prayed for. I'll have my next check up on my birthday and another ultrasound again. I'm so excited to buy the baby things and bought a baby blanket which is pink and a yellow onesie as it was on sale. We ended having dinner at Chili's to celebrate our anniversary. I'm so happy and I'm indeed gonna have a Merry Christmas!

Baby Names

I'm already on my 17th week of pregnancy and we are very excited to find out the baby's gender. We already have names for a boy and a girl.

If it's a girl we will name her Lara Nicole. Lara would be a combination of my name LArla and hubby's name RAmon. Nichos calls the baby in my tummy Nicole as he really wants a baby sister. Lara means Shining and Nicole, victory of the people.

For a boy, we decided on Liam as I want just a short name. Liam means guardian. We have yet to decide on a 2nd name although I want Andrei which means manlike. Liam Andrei, a manlike guardian, wouldn't that be great.

I am so excited to find out my baby's gender so we will not call him/her baby anymore but by his/her name.

First Buy for Baby

I bought an Avent Newborn Starter Set for baby which includes 4 feeding bottles, pacifier and a bottle cleaner. I know its still too early to buy but I can’t resist as it was on sale. Originally price for AED 115 but bought it for only AED 86, it was such a good deal that I just had to buy it. I have been browsing the net and this was most recommended feeding bottle for babies.

There were lot of items on sale in Baby Shop even the cribs, car seat, stroller and of course baby clothes. We would have wanted to buy but unfortunately we have no place to store them. We still have 6 months to go before I give birth. Hubby does not want to buy baby clothes yet as we do not know the gender yet and he does not want to buy white colored items. He prefers that we buy blue for boy and pink for a girl. I can’t wait to know the gender and shop for baby items. Hopefully in my next ultrasound, we’ll be able to determine the gender already.

All Day Sickness

I'm now 10 weeks pregnant and having all day sickness. I'm always tired, always nauseaus. The smell of rice cooking makes me vomit. I just want to sleep and sleep, I'm having head aches, I have no appetite although I have to eat for my baby's sake. I hope that this stage of my pregnancy finishes soon as I feel so helpless and sick. I did not feel this in my first pregnancy with Nichos. They say it will all go away after the first trimester, I surely hope so and I look forward to it.

Boy or Girl???

I'm so excited to know the gender of my baby. I'm only 9 weeks along the way so it's still a long wait till we find out the gender. I only want 1 boy and 1 girl and since I already have Nichos, I would much prefer a girl this time. I check the Chinese Gender Calendar and it said I'll be having a boy based on the month of conception but it was not correct for Nichos as it said I was having a girl that time. Then I took a test in http://www.babygendertool.com and it said I'll be having a girl and tried the one for Nichos and it was correct as it said that Your baby should have been born sometime in July 2004 and it was a boy. I sure hope this is true. Keeping my finger's cross. All I provided was my date of birth, hubby's date of birth and Approximate date of conception. I googled gender prediction tests and it gives me mixed answers some boy and some girl.

Here are some of the gender myths I found on the internet:

* If your left breast is bigger than the right during pregnancy, you're having a GIRL. If the right is bigger, it'll be a BOY. If they are the same size, you're in for a surprise!
* If you get moody during pregnancy you are more likely to have a GIRL. This is because all women are moody, and when carrying a GIRL you become doubly so.
* If you carry the baby out front (others cant see your pregnancy from behind) then you will have a BOY. If others can tell that you are pregnant when looking at you from behind, then you will have a GIRL.
* Have the mom-to-be pick up a key. If she picks it up by the round end, it will be a BOY. If she picks it up by the long end, it will be a GIRL. Should she pick it up at the middle, twins are on the way.
* If the mother's age at conception and the year of conception are both even or both odd, the baby is a GIRL. If one is even and one is odd, the baby is a BOY.
* Ask the mom-to-be to pick a number. Match the number with the corresponding letter of the alphabet (A=1, B=2 etc). Then ask her to choose a name beginning with that letter. If she chooses a BOYs name, it will be a BOY. If she chooses a GIRLs name, it will be a GIRL.
* Hang a gold pendant (preferably one the mother wears often) over the palm of the mothers hand. If the pendant moves in a circular motion, it will be a GIRL. If it swings back and forth, a BOY is on the way.
* If the mom-to-be was the more aggressive partner when the baby was concieved, it will be a BOY. If the father was the more aggressive, the baby will be a GIRL.
* If you suffer from acne during pregnancy, you will have a GIRL.
* What side does the mum-to-be lay on while she's resting? If she lies on her left, it's a BOY; on her right, it's a GIRL.
* If young BOYs (pre-school age) show interest in you while you're pregnant, it will be a GIRL. If they ignore you, expect a BOY.
* Ask the mom-to-be to show you her hands. If she shows them palms up, it's a GIRL; palms down, a BOY.
* If you dream of GIRLs, you will have a BOY. If you dream of BOYs, you will have a GIRL.

It's a boy if:
You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy
Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute
You are carrying the extra weight out front
Your belly looks like a basketball
Your areolas have darkened considerably
You are carrying low
You are craving salty or sour foods
You are craving protein -- meats and cheese
Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy
Your hands are very dry
Your pillow faces north when you sleep
Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
Your urine is bright yellow in color
Your nose is spreading
You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves in circles You are having headaches
You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an even number

It's a girl if:
You had morning sickness early in pregnancy
Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute
You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear
Your left breast is larger than your right breast
Your hair develops red highlights
You are carrying high
Your belly looks like a watermelon
You are craving sweets
You are craving fruit
You crave orange juice
You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy
You are moodier than usual during pregnancy
Your face breaks out more than usual
You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread
Your breasts have really blossomed!
Your pillow faces south when you sleep
Your urine is a dull yellow color
You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves from side to side
You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an odd number

I've been experiencing all day sickness in this pregnancy and people are telling me that it must be a girl but I have been craving salty foods instead of sweets which would mean a boy. I'm checking out the myths and the tests just for fun and in the end it will be the ultrasound hopefully in my 5th month which will be my birthday that can determine my baby's gender. I always hope and pray that the baby is healthy and normal regardless of gender.

Baby Brother

Nichos is turning 4 in July and he eagerly wants a baby brother. He has been asking for months now. He always ask me if I'm pregnant and he pretends that I am since he loves to rub my tummy and lay his head to hear the baby. He would always tell me Mama, I like baby brother or sometimes he wants a baby sister. We even have names picked out. It's Mhon Liam for a boy and Lara Nicole for a girl. There are times when he wants a girl then he wants a boy but now he has a prayer " Papa Jesus, I like baby brother please". So I guessed, he is now keen on having a baby brother. I would have loved to grant his request as I also want another baby soon but unfortunately Tatay is in UAE so I guess Nichos has to wait. We will hopefully be going to UAE next month so I hope Nichos' prayer would come true.
