Sale Season

It's sale season once again in Dubai - Dubai Summer Surprises, and our staycation in Dubai was very timely.

There was a Big Summer Sale going on at Dubai World Trade Center.When I see sale signs I am palpitating hahahahaha....

It was a long walk from the parking to the exhibition center so we stop once in a while for photos

When we reach the area it was separated into different stalls of various brands.

Prices were such a steal and cheaper than mall prices.

I love the color of this bag which was only AED 549/ $150/ PhP 6845 . I had to stop myself from buying this.

New Year shopping finds

What better way to spend the new year than to do some new year shopping as well. I am so happy with all my shopping finds as they really are all a great deal. Before we enjoyed the holidays we made sure first that we have sent the money for donation for Typhoon Sendong victims, we have collected a total of AED 750 which we sent to GMA Kapuso Foundation.

This is my most super deal, a dress from h & m. I tried this dress even if it had no price and I loved it but before buying it, I asked for the price first and what a steal for only AED 10 ( Php 115/ $2). Even the cashier could not believe it so he scanned it again and voila, super sale and a really happy new year to me

Christmas Sale Finds

I did some Christmas Shopping last Sunday, super daming sale kaya I have removed some of my old clothes to be sent for donation to victims of Typhoon Sendong and have asked my mom in the Philippines to donate all my clothes left in my room. We have also initiated a donation drive in the office and kept a donation box in reception for staff to donate money. All proceeds will be sent to GMA Kapuso foundation.

Here are my sale finds:

TopShop was closing down so everything was for sale, buy 1 take 1 for AED 40 (PhP 460/ $11). The dresses were originally sold for AED 300+ and I only got them for AED 20 each (PhP 230/ $5).

These were all on sale in Splash too at AED 20 each. I am loving the loose shirt style kasi d halata ang tyan hehehe... I also bought some loose shirts in New Look, they were plain colored shirts so I did not take a photo anymore.

Dubai Shopping Festival

As yesterday was technically our last weekend ( we're leaving on the 11th and next weekend hubby is on duty) before we fly back to Phils.for vacation, we hurriedly went to Deira City Center after attending the christening of the daughter of my colleague to catch up in the DSF sale. Basically, it's cheaper during DSF or if not you will get tons of freebies. We were able to buy the following: acer d255 netbook which hubby bought for me, blackberry pearl which I bought for hubby in exchange. He also bought a mini speaker for his ipod touch. I was also able to buy items from Mango (high waisted shorts and a blouse) and a polo shirt from Giordano for only AED 15/ PhP 180/ $4. After this DSF, we are now back to "tipid mode" due to our upcoming wedding.

Sale season

It's sale season once again in UAE. Dubai Summer Sale has begun and Abu Dhabi summer Surprises is starting in July as well. Here in Al Ain, the sale fever has begun and in one of my favorite shops, Mango. I super love mango items but unfortunately it is way too expensive but during sale season prices go way down and I am able to buy or as may say splurge. I was able to buy 2 bags for at AED 55 (PhP 680) and AED 69 (PhP 865), Mango shirts at AED 29 (PhP 365), Wallet (PhP 563). Was also able to get a bossini slacks for AED 19 (PhP 238). I am such a bagahokic and the mango bags are sturdy I still have my old mango bag with me which I am still using from time to time. The Shirts that I have bought are for my mom and sister.

Updates

I haven't posted a blog for some time as I got so busy with work and in the weekend I catch up to play with my kids. Hubby just recently bought me a blackberry storm which I enjoy so much as I am able to receive my emails anytime, anywhere as well as chat through ym and update my facebook and twitter. I can also browse the internet whenever I want to.

We also just finished my daughter's Christening and my son's birthday. Photos in my facebook account.

Today is a non working holiday so we had a long weekend. We went to Dubai Festival City yesterday and I am so happy with my purchases as it was on sale due to Dubai Summer Festival (DSF). I got an Esprit skinny jeans for AED 74 ($20), mango office skirt AED 49 ($13), mango Olive Oyl shirt AED 34 ($9), mango shorts AED 35 ($9) and my favorite find is a Sarah Jessica Parker Covet perfume for only AED 58 ( $15). It used to be AED 225 ($61) but it was on sale so I got it at a cheap price. When we went to Abu Dhabi a few weeks back I was also able to get a mango blazer for only AED 99 ($26), Mango slacks AED 49 (13) and a Mango Cardigan AED 35 ($9).

Our 2 hr. trip to dubai was really worth it after all our good finds. We just usually go there if it is on sale.

Latest buy

It's so fun shopping for baby girl's clothes that everytime I got to the mall, I can't help to buy for Nichole. My recent purchase were shirts, booties and shorts. They were on sale so how could I resist. The shirts from AED 19 was down to AED 9.50, the shorts was only AED 7.50 and the were only AED 3.50. We even have clothes for her which are for 12 mos. already as they were all on sale at AED 10 and AED 5 only which is only around 120-130 pesos. Their original prices range from AED 30 - 40.I bet Nichole would grow up to be a fashionista with all the girly clothes I am buying her.
